Interactive Performances
In our Interactive Productions, the story is told in a linear format with a traditional seated audience. The students are directly engaged in the action of the story through call and response, activity prompts, and total absence of the fourth wall. Select audience members have opportunities to join actors on stage.
Recommended grades: Pre-K through 5

The Story: La Canción en la Tormenta is sensory storytelling experience. On the island of Borinquen, the god Juracán has become upset, causing a wild storm to ravage the beautiful rainforest. El Coqui, the tiny but mighty little frog, must restore peace to the island with the help of the audience! This bilingual quest explores themes of taking care of our environment and our feelings.

The Experience:
Audience is seated in a semi-circle with the actors.
Actors interact with the audience through reading and facilitated activities
Actors speak in English and Spanish

Help El Gato pass several tests to earn a place beside the witch on her broomstick. Audience members dance, fly, and help cast spells in this bilingual (English/Spanish) production.

The Story: Waves of Wonder is an interactive play for young audiences. This play invites children to actively engage in literacy while embarking on a quest to learn about the importance of water across different cultures and communities.

Immersive Performances
In our Immersive Productions, multiple scenes occur simultaneously, and audiences are free to move throughout the performance space and choose which characters to follow. Audience members interact directly with the actors, who speak in scripted Shakespearean text and improvised contemporary English.
Recommended grades: 5 through 12
Recommended spaces: auditorium, black box theater, or library
Audience cap: 50-60 depending on space

The Story: Tiny Forest Dream captures the beginning of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Students interact with Titania, Oberon, and Puck, exploring how assumptions and trickery mask feelings of allyship.

The Story: This bilingual production in English and Spanish focuses on the relationships of Miranda, Prospero, and Caliban. Students interact with the characters exploring the storms we fight to find ourselves.
